Features and factors of volitional qualities a child of primary school age
Abstract
In the article is made the analysis of theoretical sourses due to development of volitional qualities in children of younger school age; considered concepts «will» and «volitional qualities», characterized volitional qualities of children of younger school age and features of will development at present age stage; shown the role of family and educational activities in development of volitional qualities of pupils of primary school, in particular peculiarity of setting requirements and tasks by parents and teachers to the child; shown the reasons of development of volitional qualities and emotional and volitional component of psychological readiness of child to school. Also investigated features of lack of volitional qualities and main tasks in educating will in pupils of primary school. The role of educational work in development of volitional qualities and features of formation of independence in children younger school age is shown. Highlighted the features of development of moral insurances and abilities to its use; examined the ability of children of younger school age to consciously control own cognition and practical actions; overviewed the features of correlation of development of will with school studying. Highlighted the main features of will development; partly analyzed relation of process of adjusting to school with impulsivity as personality characteristics of the child. Considered pupil’s demands for himself and his actions. Highlighted the feature of influence of methods of educational work on the development of independence of pupils of primary school and features of the relationship of negative reinforcement (abuse of notations and negative assessments) with the ratio of pupils to teaching. The influence of reference groups and groups on the development of will of children is examined; highlighted the personal example as a way to influence the younger pupil and his emotional and
volitional sphere. Examined the possibility of strengthening the will and character of the child by involving to labour activities; justified the need for the correctness of setting requirements for pupil.
