Students’ independent work in conditions of implementation of new forms of educational process organization in agricultural educational establishments
The main factor to accelerate social and economic growth of a society is to invest into higher education. According to the new educational standards a great emphasis should be put on students’ independent work, its organization and control. The authors highlight that it is necessary to implement personality-oriented learning technologies, to motivate students deeply, to support methodologically. One of the most important tasks is programing and assessment of students’ individual work in the process of professional self-development of a specialist – from performing an individual task to the completion of a coursework and a thesis.
It should be mentioned that it’s not easy for students to define the aim, to identify the main context, to conduct comparative analysis of facts, to divide the material into parts and to understand their interconnection, control themselves at independent learning stage.For directed and best management of students’ independent work it was recommended to make technological cards for different kinds of independent work, for example the process of work with a book, reading scientific
literature, preparing for conferences, for presentations etc. The scientists prove that control and assessment have a great influence on the quality and the
efficiency of training, on students’ attitude to their duties regarding studying process. The authors underline that control should be objective, individual, and systematic. Various types of control should be applied (from traditional interview to self-assessment and interactive evaluation technologies)
