Higher education of ukraine in terms of globalization

Abstract

In the article the features of higher education in Ukraine under globalization are considered. Analyzed the problems that arise in the process of integration of Ukrainian education system into the European educational space. The entry of higher education system in the Bologna area is important for Ukrainian society in order to solve the problem of recognition of Ukrainian diplomas abroad, improve efficiency, quality of education and thus the competitiveness of Ukrainian universities and their graduates in the European and global labor market. On the other hand, globalization in higher education will lead to greater global dominance of Euroatlantic culture, the emergence of foreign education providers in the national states territory, the loss of national culture and identity. The author concludes that the integration of higher education of Ukraine into the European and world educational space is urgent and necessary, but only in the terms of preservation of the most significant achievements and developments of the national education system joined with effective and balanced management decisions from the state.
