Education of Ukraine in the conditions of sociocultural transformation
The article is an attempt to rethink the modern education system in Ukraine as a socio-cultural phenomenon. In particular, it is revised the mutual influence between education and culture, and between their functions in society. It is determined that education has two essential functions that interact as two dialectical opposites. But only in their unity, it is able to fulfill its social mission. Due to the common human properties, education creates the possibility of understanding of people who grew up in different time and spatial boundaries, in contradictory social, national, ethnic, civilizational and cultural systems. However, all educational systems are rooted in a particular socio-cultural soil. Therefore, the process of cultural interchange is only possible as a process of change and enrichment of the national culture through the reinterpretation of old and new values and the inclusion of the drivers of innovation in the sphere of daily human life. It is proved that the harmonious interaction of education and culture provides the replication, transfer, assimilation and reproduction of knowledge and values. Therefore, the task of cultural interaction of education is not to find a ready answer but to be able to recognize the problem and to articulate its essential parameters and with taking into account the circumstances to resolve it. It is analyzed the socio-cultural context of finding ways of reforming the modern education. The leading factor which has to become a national culture is the only the existential reality, which accompanies the individual and through which he can learn about social reality and values. This means that today, the main direction of creation and development of any educational institution is the creation, the creation of conditions for cultural development of the student, the formation of a cultural environment favorable for absorption of cultural artifacts, and for the disclosure of personal potential.
