Features of education reform in professional preparation for future factors from applied physics in the Great Britain and Ukraine

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the latest aspects introduction of education reform for future Applied Physics specialists in the UK and Ukraine. The activity of the leading universities of Great Britain in this field is analyzed. The achievement of the European level of interdisciplinary education strategies in Ukraine is revealed. It is noted that Ukraine's integration into the European space, the globalization of social, economic and cultural processes predetermine the need for solving the tasks of reforming and updating the national education of Ukraine, the creation of education system that would meet world standards. It is proved that solving of these problems requires a comprehensive analysis and study of foreign experience, the introduction of world norms and standards of education in Ukraine. Integration processes taking place in Ukraine require careful study of the constructive, critical and creative thinking of the UK's positive experience in order to improve the professional training of future specialists in applied physics in higher education institutions of our country. The article deals with the concept of Applied Physics, indicating that there is a set of applied physics disciplines, divisions and areas of physics, aimed at the solution of physical problems for specific technological and practical applications in various fields of professional activity: information technology, electronics, defence, health, power engineering, transport etc. The activity of London universities is analyzed and the programmes for getting the «bachelor» and «master» degree by the students which make the system of professional training in applied physics in the fields of electronics and computer science. The study and use of positive ideas of British experience in the development of higher education will contribute to the theoretical and methodological substantiation of ways to improve the professional training of future specialists in applied physics in higher educational institutions of Ukraine in accordance with world standards.
