The role of the teacher in moral education of pupils in the pedagogical heritage of V. O. Sukhomlinskyi
The article reveals the role of the teacher in moral education of students in the pedagogical heritage of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky. The main directions of moral upbringing in the education of students are described. It is proved that the moral education of students can be effective only for the exacting attitude of the teacher to the students, a high level of culture of relations in the team. The moral right of the teacher to approve or condemn what worries the pupils is decisive, so that the condemnation of the negative aspects of our life from the teacher's point of view is perceived by the students as confirming the truth. Consequently, the educator himself must be morally clean. Sukhomlynsky work is essential for the moral education of students. Sukhomlynsky, in which the traditions of moral education, work, life and public life, and the promotion of its formation as a legal, democratic, social state are used. It is specified that the priority of moral education is the purposeful activity of the school, public organizations, the family, educational institutions regarding the formation of a high moral consciousness in the younger generation, a sense of duty, and a love for their country. The main tasks of the teacher in moral education of students is to form a value relation to their people, their customs and traditions.
