Language correction by DAS-BZZ method (Respiratory arrhythmia of the heart – biological feedback)

Abstract

The article covers one of the modern methods of speech correction and functional state of man – the method of respiratory arrhythmia of the heart – biological feedback. The growth of the role of the newest technologies in the conditions of modern society and the development of methods of psycho- physiological research and the influence of means of processing and use of information helps to increase the relevance of using the method of biological feedback in heart respiratory arrhythmia.

This method is used for speech correction using a physiological parameter such as respiratory arrhythmia of the heart. The method of DAS BZZ – respiratory technique, the advantage of which lies in its physiological origin. The creators of the technique do not try to force the body to do something unusual to him. Such a technique is based on the method of biological feedback. Its authors and developers are experts in the Association of Biological Feedback. Smetankin’s breathing is the most effective way to normalize the functioning of the autonomic nervous system and to achieve a concerted activity of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.

Language defects – the disease is quite common, besides, it complicates the social adaptation of patients. A person with a speech defect (logopat) is deprived of full-fledged communication.

To date, indications for the application of this method in logotherapy practice are stuttering, logon neurosis, temporal speech disorder, alalia, aphasia, dysarthria, dyslalia, rhinolalia, rhinotonia, phonation disorders on the ground of paresis and paralysis of the larynx, functional impairment of voice, dysgraphia, dyslexia, prevention of speech and speech disorders. This method is very effective in preparing children for school, studying reading techniques and speech technology, as well as for improving the body as a whole.

The article reveals the peculiarities of the application of the method and presents the specificity and sequence of the speech therapist’s work with a child with speech defects.
