Technology of social pedagogue’s work with children with autism
In the article the author investigates the problem of early childhood autism, namely: the issues of etiology, manifestations and causes of violations. The problem of autism has been studied and covered in scientific, medical, psychological and pedagogical literature for at least half a century. At the present stage, the causes of children’s autism have not been sufficiently studied. The aim of the study is to develop a technology to support the process of socialization of children with autism in pre-school institutions by a social pedagogue.
The attention is focused on the group of technologies of social and pedagogical work: technologies of diagnostics, technologies of construction and design of development of these or those social and pedagogical objects; technologies of realization of social and pedagogical projects, programs, introduction of social and pedagogical innovations. We agree with the opinion about the impossibility of a unified typology of technologies of social and pedagogical work.
Socialization of a child with autism spectrum disorders, in our opinion, should start with pre- school education, because staying in children’s team will allows a child to identify himself as a person and a part of society. Socialization of a child with autism disorders begins in the institution of pre-school education. The main thing in the education of children is self-service training, behavior in preparation for the game and out of it, as well as a special organization of the child’s life, where all the elements of everyday rituals should be thought out to the last detail.
The work of a social pedagogue in the institution of pre-school education involves working with preschoolers, parents, teachers, therefore, attention is paid to the functions of a specialist: diagnostic, prognostic, organizational, communicative, mediation, preventive, assistance and support functions, correctional.
The solution to any problem of the child, requiring the intervention of a social pedagogue, includes the following areas of work: diagnosis; search for ways to solve the problem; the choice of appropriate methods and forms of activity, the choice of means to be used in the work; if necessary, the adjustment of the social pedagogue, aimed at improving the work of the child.
We see the work of a social pedagogue with pupils of a preschool institution in the following: correction of parameters of social development of children at the request of teachers and parents and the results of diagnosis; organization of activities of groups aimed at the development of children’s individuality and their socialization; organization of children’s leisure.
