Nowadays education has important tasks that can be solved, taking into account the previous pedagogical experience. Scientists and practitioners of the past generations have already worked on this problem. The analysis of pedagogical work is appropriate, since without studying the past experience it is impossible to improve the existing system of education. The state documents and scientific works are analyzed regarding the issue of the article. The important factors influencing the development of the creative activity of future Fine Arts teachers are determined . The analyzed past experience will help solve the problem of the development of creative activity of university students , which is actual nowadays. The problem of the development of students’ creative activity was relevant at different times, and therefore researched by scientists. It is worth attracting students to creative activity, and also create the necessary conditions for the development of creative activity. The attention was paid to this issue at the medieval universities, in the Renaissance, in the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, in different years of XX-XXIcenturies. In the process of students’ training group forms of work, exhibitions, local lore work, circlesetc. were used. During the Renaissance, much attention was devoted to aesthetic education, and theyalso valued and respected the personality, opposed the humiliation of a person, physical punishment,sought to improve their abilities, took into account the interests of the individual, developed theiractivity and amateur activity. In the 20s of the twentieth century an innovative approach to choosingmethods and forms of work was important . In the 1930’s it was suggested that more time should bespent on pedagogical practice, the attention should be paid to the study of pedagogy and methodology,as well as mastering pedagogical skills, paying attention to aesthetic education of future teachers whowere supposed to be able to aesthetically arrange a school and introduce elements of beauty into life. Inthe 50’s - 60’s of the twentieth century there was a concept of cognitive interest, developmental learning, autonomy and creative initiative of students, etc. In 1991 and 2014 The Law of Ukraine «On Education» was adopted. According to the law, universities, academies, institutes should create for students the conditions for creative activity organization and their professional and creative development ER -
